Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following teaching and non-teaching staff positions in Bowen University, Iwo.

A. DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY

1. Senior Lecturer

Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Anatomy from a recognized University with at least five years of teaching, research and administrative experience. Applicants who possess degree in Medicine registrable with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and Master’s Degree in Anatomy with at least six years teaching experience are qualified to apply. In addition, there should be evidence of substantial scholarly publications in recognized and reputable journals. A degree in Medicine will be an added advantage.

2. Lecturer I

Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Anatomy from a recognized University, with evidence of substantial teaching and research experience and scholarly publications in recognized and reputable journals.

3. Lecturer II

Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree from a recognized university.
4. Assistant Lecturer
Applicants should possess either M.Phil or Master’s degree by research from a recognized university and should be on their Ph.D programme

B DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

1. Lecturer I

Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree from a recognized University, with evidence of substantial teaching and research experience in computer science and scholarly publications in recognized and reputable journals.

2. Lecturer II

Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree from a recognized university in computer Science.
3. Assistant Lecturer
Applicants should possess either M.Phil or Master’s degree by research from a recognized university in computer science and should be on their Ph.D programme.

C NON-TEACHING

1. ASSISTANT CHIEF RADIOGRAPHER

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Assistant Chief Radiographer Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Chief Radiographer in the College of Health Sciences.
Applicants must have a good honours degree, Diploma or HND in Radiography from recognized institutions and must have completed the NYSC programme. A Master’s Degree in Radiography will be an added advantage. He/she must have at least twelve (12) years relevant experience and must be a Fellow of a relevant professional body e.g. Fellow, Institute of Radiography (FIR)
Candidates must be computer literate.

2. PRINCIPAL RADIOGRAPHER

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess good grade like that of Assistant Chief Radiographer. He/she must have at least eight (8) years relevant experience and must be a Fellow of a relevant professional body e.g. Fellow, Institute of Radiography (FIR)

3. RADIOGRAPHER II

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess a first degree or Higher National Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions and must have completed the NYSC Programme.

4. TECHNOLOGIST II

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess B.Sc, B. Tech. or HND in Science Laboratory Technology from reputable Universities or Polytechnics.

5. ASSISTANT CHIEF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist in the College of Health Sciences.
Applicants must have a good honours degree, Diploma or HND in Medical Laboratory Science from recognized institutions and must have completed the NYSC programme. A Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science will be an added advantage. He/she must have at least twelve (12) years relevant experience and must be a Fellow of a relevant professional body e.g. Fellow, Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (FIMLT)

6. MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST II

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science Degree from a recognized University and must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

7. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess 5 O’ level credits pass (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics plus membership of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

8. PHARMACIST I

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy registrable with the Pharmacy Board of Nigeria with at least 4 years post qualification experience.

9. PHARMACIST TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess 5 O’ level credits pass (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics plus Diploma of the School of Hygiene in Pharmacy Techniques or any approved School of Health Technology plus 2 years working experience.
Candidates must be computer literate.

10. X-RAY TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess 5 O’level credits pass (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics and must have also completed the prescribed three years’ training programme at the School of Health Technology plus 2 years cognate experience.

11. SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Bowen University runs a unique remuneration package, which is similar to what obtains in other tertiary institutions. The University is a fully residential institution. Consequently, it is mandatory for the staff of the University to be resident within Iwo.
