Finally The Mangement of University Of Abuja has finally published the Proposed Academic Calendar of the institution for the 2016/2017 session.UNIABUJA PROPOSED ACADEMIC CALENDAR SCHEDULE FOR 2016/2017 SESSION
  • Sunday 6th November, 2016 – Commencement of 2016/2017 Academic Session and Arrival of fresh students.
  • Monday 7th November, 2016 – Normal Online Portal Registration begins for fresh students.
  • Sunday 13th November, 2016 – Arrival of returning students
  • Monday 14th November, 2016 – Normal Portal Registration begins for returning students/change of course forms available for returning students.
  • Monday 21st November, 2016 – Lectures begin for all students (13 weeks)
  • Monday 28th November, 2016 – Late portal registration begins for all students
  • Monday 5th December, 2016 – End of submission of completed change of course forms
  • Monday 9th December, 2016 – Online late registration ends for all students
  • Monday 16th December, 2016 – All registration documents reach the Registry, Academic planning unit.
  • Monday 19th December, 2016 – Commencement of end of year break
  • Monday 2nd January, 2017 – All students resume from end of year break
  • Tuesday 3rd January, 2017 – Lecture resume for all the remaining part of the semester
  • Thursday 12th January, 2017 – Matriculation ceremony
  • Friday 24th and Saturday 25th February, 2017 – Convocation ceremony
  • Monday 13th – 18th March, 2017 – Revision week
  • Saturday 18th March, 2017 – End of first semester lecture
  • Monday 20th March, 2017 – First semester examination commences (4 weeks)
  • Saturday 15th April, 2017 – End of first semester examination
  • Monday 17th April, 2017 – First semester break begins (2weeks)
  • Sunday 30th April, 2017 – End of first semester break
  • Monday 1st May, 2017 – Second semester lecture begins
  • Monday 7th – 12th August, 2017 – Second semester revision week (1 week)/Examination for students going on SIWES and Remedial Students (1st week)
  • Saturday 12th August, 2017 – End of second semester lecture
  • Monday 14th August, 2017 – Second semester examination begins (4 weeks)
  • Saturday 9th September, 2017 – End of second semester examination for regular students
  • Monday 11th September, 2017 – Second semester break begins (8 weeks)
  • Sunday 5th November, 2017 – Commencement of 2018/2019 Academic session/Arrival of fresh students
